What is the Commission on
the CFE? |
|
The purpose of the Council's Commission on CFE is to propose
an implementation plan appropriate for the City of New York
and for its school children. Through input from parents, teachers,
principals, and educational experts, the Commission will explore
and make specific recommendations on how to realize the goals
of the CFE decision, bearing in mind the priorities of small
class size and teacher recruitment and retention.
The Commission will also address State and City related financial
obligations and provide the New York City Council with specific
recommendations as to how new funds could be most effectively
spent to guarantee our students their constitutional rights.
